Come to the Federation Forum in Plymouth on 13th February to find out how you can tap into the heritage tourism market.
Tourism is the lifeblood of many businesses in the South West. In 2010 visitors staying in the region spent an estimated £4.9 billion pounds (SW Tourism Alliance). Heritage sites like museums are key to attracting these visitors - 31% of tourist to Somerset in 2009/2010 cited heritage as their main reason for visiting the county (SW Research Company).
The Forum is free to attend. The day promises a mix of presentations and opportunities to ask questions, network and pick up handy tips. The insights and lessons learnt from the most recent research undertaken for museums will be unveiled.
Can your museum afford to miss out?

If you missed some of the most popular workshops in this year's Museums Skills Programme, you are being given a second chance to catch one! Thanks to the careful husbanding of resources by Sarah Lewis (training co-ordinator) and Clive Fisher (treasurer) and to host museums' and speekers' generosity with their fees, we are able to offer three additional sessions.
