Careers in museumsThe North East Regional Museums Hub has published the Museum Careers Guidebook to raise awareness of the range of jobs that exist in the museum and gallery sector. Aimed at students, they can find out more about the variety of careers through job profiles and interviews with members of staff. There are also hints and tips on gaining the right qualifications and getting relevant experience, in addition to advice on how to get that all important ‘foot in the door.’

The guide was successfully launched during a recent Museum Careers Event at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens, with excellent feedback from participating students:“There are more jobs than I thought there would be!”
