At the 2007 AGM the membership of the SWFed voted to create two sub-regions for Gloucestershire based upon the two current County Museum Groups, representing Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.
Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire published a report in March 2010 into the findings of a survey of volunteer contribution to museums in the two counties. The survey revealed that volunteers contributed a staggering £1.1M in time and skills to the sector during 2009. Read the full report.
