Training and Skills Development
The SWFed is delighted to provide a gateway for museum staff and volunteers in the South West to access a wide range of high quality, cost effective training and professional development opportunities.
This section of the website will help you find information about the fantastic training days happening in the region, which will equip you with new skills, and strengthen or update existing skills.
In addition, you can also use this section to access resources such as training handouts.
The South West Museum Skills Programme is publicly funded by Arts Council England and provides subsidised museum specific training in the region delivered by the South West Museum Development Programme. Thanks to this funding, training is offered to staff, trustees and volunteers working in and supporting museums within Arts Council England’s Accreditation Scheme in the South West at no or low cost.
An exclusive benefit for SWFed members is that members are able to access this training as part of their membership.
