The National Archives releases series of digital advocacy resources

As part of The National Archives’ digital capacity building strategy, Plugged In Powered Up, series of advocacy resources has been released. The resources can be used to convey the value of digital archives and the need to act now to preserve them.

A short video, which introduces the digital challenge, explains how The National Archives can help. It highlights the impact that small steps can make, and individuals are encouraged to include this video in emails and presentations to raise awareness of the importance of developing digital preservation, access and engagement skills. Leaflets for decision makers and archive professionals accompany the video explaining why organisations must invest in the digital management of archives and warns of the risks of failing to preserve digital assets, and listing the ways in which The National Archives can support you with advice and free skills training.

Visit The National Archives 'Plugged In, Powered Up' pages to access the resources by click here: https://nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-sector/pr.... The pages also have guidance on digital preservation workflows, and the 'Novice to Know-How' online training resource.
