Visitor Services Volunteers play a key role in creating a welcoming and friendly museum experience, engaging with and inspiring our visitors by delivering first class customer service. We have flexible shift options so you are able to fit your volunteering around your studies, and of course if you want to stay for longer than 12 weeks that’s fine too!
Are you a student who is required to undertake volunteering as part of your studies? Are you looking to work as part of a team providing excellent customer service? Are you passionate about museums, aviation or the tourism industry? If so we can offer you the opportunity to volunteer with us for one day a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. We have flexible shift options so you are able to fit your volunteering around your studies, and of course if you want to stay for longer than 12 weeks that’s fine too!
Volunteers will be working with the Visitor Services Team to enhance the visitor experience by engaging with visitors and by promoting museum products and activities.

Please note no previous experience is required and full training will be provided. Shifts are scheduled for 09:30 – 13:30, 11:30 – 15:30 and 13:00 – 17:00 (Summer opening hours) 12:00-16:00 (Winter opening hours) on any preferred day of the week (Mon – Sun). You can of course volunteer for the full day if you wish.
