Public facing volunteer roles - The Box

Opportunity to be a Gallery Guide Volunteer, an Archive & Research Volunteer, and/or a Learning Volunteer at the Box in Plymouth.

The Box in Plymouth is currently recruiting around 250 volunteers to three visitor facing roles as follows:

GALLERY GUIDES will be based in one of our many different galleries. Our volunteers will help visitors interpret and connect with what’s on display, sharing interesting stories and providing information such as way-finding, upcoming events and exhibitions, or which gallery is next on their route.

ARCHIVE AND RESEARCH VOLUNTEERS will be based in our Active Archive gallery. Our volunteers will help visitors access online collections and the reference library to support their local or family history research as well as help visitors engage with the temporary exhibitions on display.

LEARNING VOLUNTEERS will support our facilitator-led group workshops and activities for families, school groups and the wider community. Based at The Box and out in the community, this group of volunteers connect the people of Plymouth with our collections.
