Job Description:• Develop and implement a program of planned maintenance to ensure the site remains safe, inspiring and enjoyable for our visitor’s staff and volunteers. • Manage relationships and service agreements with Contractors. • To use those ‘hands on’ skills to maintain our buildings and systems.
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable managing maintenance programmes, contractors and service agreement relationships, but also competent delivering ‘hands on’ minor repairs and maintenance.
Applicants should have recent work experience in the building/general maintenance sector, both theory and practical. Those with an electrical background preferred but not essential.
The candidate must be capable to act as the site Building Recovery Manager and take appropriate responsibility in the event of an Emergency or Incident at the Museum.
A flexible approach to work is needed as this post works on a 7-day rota which will include working occasional weekends and responding to out of hours callouts as appropriate.
