Chief Operating Officer, Heartlands, Cornwall
Heartlands is a visitor attraction, a Cornish Mining World Heritage Site Gateway and a popular facility for its local community near Redruth in the former mining heart of Cornwall, run by the Heartlands Trust.
Heartlands was one of three multi-million pound Living Landmarks projects in the UK funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, formerly known as the Big Lottery.
It opened in 2012, transforming 19 acres of one of Cornwall’s best-known but derelict former tin mining sites into a multi-faceted facility for the local community. Set around listed heritage buildings, there is a park, a free children’s adventure playground, formal gardens, a community hall/conference space, soft play for younger children, a café and housing as well as workspaces, rooms and offices for rent.
We are seeking to recruit a new Chief Operating Officer to succeed our current post-holder who is moving to a similar post in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work at the heart of the local community, engaging with a wide range of partners and leading a young and enthusiastic team of staff.
