Museum Skills: Making the Most of Working with Young People & Schools
Learn how you can better engage with young people in your museum setting including schools, from specific projects or events through to your work across the whole of your organisation to benefit the young people you work with.
The workshop will include case studies and a session to explore ideas around how your museum can involve young people in its work.
This training will be delivered by Real Ideas Organisation (RIO), the Arts Council Bridge Organisation for the South West. RIO works to connect young people in the region with great art and culture. Organisations in the region who work in arts and culture and with young people can access a comprehensive suite of support from RIO including expert advice, guidance, training and consultancy, all subsidised by Arts Council England.

Who should attend:

Museum staff and volunteers, whose role is to engage children and young people in some aspect of their role.
Please note: this training will cover a section on the national curriculum and so may not be relevant to staff with teaching qualifications

Free to SWFed members!
