More about the Manifesto

After further work over the autumn of 2007 by the Federation Committee, the final release of the Manifesto has been condensed down into two pithy pages.

It has been sent by post to all members of the Federation and to all museums in the South West for which we have contact addresses. We have also sent it to MLA South West, the South West Museum Hub, MLA Council and the MA.

This Manifesto was written after consulting with the Museums of the South West and we believe that it truly represents their views. Now we need your views and feedback on it, so do discuss it with your colleagues and then get back to your Federation County Reps, a Committee Member or the Federation Co-ordinator with your thoughts. Or if you prefer, do post your thoughts to the Forum.

It is important that the Manifesto is read by as wide a range of museum professionals as possible, so please do forward it to as many people as possible, including your MP and Local Government along with your worries for the Museum Sector in the South West.

Some back-up material from original consultation period available here.
