Who is it for? Anyone caring for metal archaeological artefacts including finds officers in field units

What will I learn?

  • to examine and assess most archaeological metal artefacts
  • to have an awareness of the causes of deterioration in metal artefacts
  • to have an understanding of the storage conditions required and be confident to pack most archaeological metal artefacts
  • know when to seek further advice

Who is the trainer?  The workshop is led by Helena Jaeschke who is a qualified and accredited archaeological conservator, funded by Renaissance South West to provide free advice and support on collections care to all the museums in the South West.
