Bath and North-East Somerset boasts a wide range of independent and city council run museums including The Museum of Bath at Work, Bath Postal Museum, The Museum of East Asian Art, No. 1 Royal Crescent, Herschel Museum of Astronomy, The American Museum in Bath, Radstock Museum, Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institute, Holburne Museum of Art, Beckford’s Tower, Building of Bath Museum, the Abbey Heritage Vaults, the Roman Baths, the Victoria Art Gallery and the Fashion Museum!
Despite the range in size, subject matter and resources, all the museums in Bath work together to produce a variety of collaborative events including joint exhibitions, Heritage Open Week (in October) and this year the first Night at the Museum – which received a commendation in the national Museums & Galleries Month Awards 2007.
